INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES

We specialize in creating living spaces that feel warm, inviting, and intuitive—for homeowners across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. Our services aren’t so much about simply decorating but, rather, about purposefully curating. We layer in meaningful pieces that reflect your journey, create layouts that support your everyday life, and design deeply thoughtful living spaces that truly work for you and yours.

An effortless journey to home that feels intentionally yours

THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT:

Everyday homeowners don’t typically know how to enter this arena (unless they’re on an HGTV show, of course)—I built Seawillow Studio to change that. If you have a home, a desire to love the space you live in, and little time to project-manage yet another to-do in your life, it’s my firm belief you deserve the guiding hand of an interior designer.

A WORD FROM EMMA

“From straightforward pricing to sound advice—I want to welcome people into the world of interior design in a way they haven’t been before. That’s what this place is about.”

Just like I believe beautiful design can also be supremely functional—I believe investing in interior design can feel exciting and indulgent while still being approachable and easy.

Our full-service interior design offering is ideal for the homeowner who’s excited about sharing inspiration and collaborating on ideas—but doesn’t have the time nor desire to manage contractors, inspect shipments, and oversee timelines.

From creating 3D renderings to collaborating with tradespeople and coordinating shipments—we’ll design an incredibly intuitive and functional space, source everything needed to bring it to life, handle all logistics and minutiae, and ensure the final space aligns impeccably with your initial vision.

*For new constructions and renovations, our team handles storage of all design elements, communicates with trades, and delivers a detailed specifications book to your builder to ensure a smooth process for all involved.

Envision and engage—all the rest is ours to handle.

All great things start with a good chat. We’ll begin with a complimentary meeting to learn all about what you love (and don’t) about your interior and to get a feel for how we can help you transform your space. From there, we prepare a detailed contract and proposal for your review.

Meet + Discover

Step 01 OF 04

After you’ve signed your contract, we’ll have an in-depth meeting to dive into your story, ideal aesthetic, specific layout needs, and more. We’ll take measurements and prepare a floorplan design and rendering of the vision for you to approve.

Deep Dive + Design

Step 02 OF 04

We’ll have a meeting to review your design—and you’ll be given a window of time to make any adjustments. Once you’ve approved your final design, we’ll get to work on a furniture and décor list. (For partial clients, this is where our work ends and your shopping begins.)

Refine + Finalize

Step 03 OF 04

For full-service clients, here’s where we step in as project managers—procuring items, managing shipments, coordinating with trades, and keeping you updated via weekly emails. When install days arrives, we’re on-site to keep things running smoothly and ensure your space comes to life exactly as you’d envisioned.

The values we live by

We design durable, functional, and intuitive spaces that don't sacrifice style. All of our designs—while lovely to look at—are, at their core, designed to suit the distinct demands of your lifestyle.

Spaces you can live in

We shy away from disposable decor and, instead, curate quality pieces for your home from makers, artists, and sources we trust in. Pieces that have a sense of history, pieces that resonate with your story, and pieces that exude craftsmanship are always on the tip-top of our purchase list.

Your questions, answered

Our process (outlined above) is super streamlined but also very intimate and hands-on. After our initial consultation call, we’ll meet in person to get a sense of your space and take measurements. From there, we take the reins as far as communication and project management go—you’ll remain the decision maker on design and purchase decisions, but we aim to handle all of the tedious to-dos and logistics for you.

What should I expect during the process of working together?

We are based in Milford, Connecticut and serve clientele all across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. Occasionally, we travel for projects outside of our home base along the East Coast.

What areas do you serve?

We strongly believe each home is unique to the people and stories behind it—so we don’t impose a singular style. We do tend to love comfortable textures and implement those in many of our designs, and we always aim to make a space feel balanced and interesting—whether we’re designing in the vein of French Country, eclectic, or Scandinavian.

Do you have a signature style?

Absolutely. We’ll help you define, refine, and elevate your taste as we work together. Through getting to know your story and unearthing pieces and elements that speak to you, we’ll form a solid foundation for a design you love.

I don’t really know where to begin or have a strong vision. Can you help?

We start with an initial complimentary meeting before preparing your contract and moving onto the design phase (more on our process above). For partial clients, you’ll pay a $2,500+ flat-fee per room. For full-service clients, you’ll pay a $2,500+ flat fee per room plus an hourly rate of $100 for project management, which is always estimated in advance for you.

How does your process and pricing work?

It truly depends on the scope and size of each project, but on average your space can take between 6-24 months to complete. For virtual design services, we are typically able to complete and deliver your design within a matter of weeks.

How long does the process take, from start to finish?

Furniture anchors a space, so recommendations in this arena are a pivotal part of what we do. That said, this doesn’t always mean purchasing brand-new furniture. We’re happy to work with existing pieces, and we love sourcing and reviving secondhand finds (ask us about the amazing chairs we found for our kitchen snug on Facebook marketplace).

Do I need to purchase all new furniture?
